The Transcendental Meditation Program
Ready to Learn TM? Find a Local Teacher
You will find out:
- Why TM is effective for reducing stress and anxiety
- What happens during TM
- Why TM is effortless and effective from the start
- How TM is different from other meditations
After the session, you can have a private chat with a certified teacher to ask questions, and schedule time to learn TM.
For your convenience, you can watch part one of the introductory session online.

TM instruction takes place over 4 consecutive days. It’s easy to learn from a certified TM teacher — the only way to learn the authentic TM technique.
Day 1
Either private or group sessions with the teacher or the same course via a combination of personal instruction and remote-learning technology, including FaceTime, Zoom, and at-home instructional materials on a smartphone.
Days 2-4
Learn the TM technique in a one-on-one lesson with a certified teacher. We employ social distancing and all measures needed during the time of the pandemic.
Another option to learn the Transcendental Meditation technique is during a women’s five-night residential retreat. Simply state this preference in the comments section on the Contact Us page and we will send you more information.
Free, Lifetime, Worldwide
Once you’ve learned TM you’ll have everything you need to meditate effectively. We recommend highly that you continue to schedule meetings with your teacher to verify the correctness of practice to ensure maximum benefit. These include:
- Personal “meditation checkings” of your TM practice
- Refresher courses
Additional Information
